Book starts with a love letter to Mirdza when both of them were in Siberia and speaks of 17 years in Siberia and was lucky to return home. Book was published right after 100th birthday of the author. The cover image shows the author at the young age, when he was deported from Latvia to Siberia. Layer typographic composition is the representation of the 17 years of diaries and letters.The face of young Alberts is split on the spine to represent his life in two worlds.
